Our first lunch in 2009 will take place on January 20, the day of the inauguration of US President-elect Barack Obama.
Our guest of honor will beJoãoRendeiro, who will speak to us about financial markets, his experienceas a banker, his book and his view as to the impact the new US president willhave on the current financial turmoil.
Later that afternoon, for those who canstay, the American Club has organized a separate event, asinaugurationwatch, for up to 50 people at theSheraton's rooftop Panorama bar. The Sheraton will provide live CNN transmissionof the events at The Mall in Washington DC surrounding thed swearing-in ofBarack Obama as the 44th President of the United States at 5:00 pm Lisbon time.
